THE SEASONS OF OUR LIVES...

The Bible has much to say about seasons. God is always changing our heart, and changing the landscape around us, redefining what he’s doing in our lives, and working out the details moment by moment, adding and subtracting, dividing and multiplying.

God is a God of change yet He Himself changes not...

He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

In order for us to follow Him we must be flexible.

He is taking our now and creating a place where we must change to keep up

with His ever changing, ever moving season of our life.

God is like the clouds on a windy day constantly moving and painting a

different picture that is impossible to define where only He knows the next change of season we are to embrace.

Daniel 2:21

“He changes times and seasons...”

Galatians 6:9

“And let us not grow weary of doing good,

for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Psalm 1:3

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season,

and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”

Psalm 104:19

“He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows its time for setting.”

Isaiah 55:10-11

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”

Song of Solomon 2:11-13

“For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land. The fig tree ripens its figs, and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance. Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away.”

Psalm 145:15

“The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season.”

Ecclesiastes 3:11

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Also, he has put eternity into man's heart,

yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”

There many seasons we must survive to thrive.

Here are 4 that remind me of seasons in the natural.

THE DRY SEASON OF WAITING WITH NO FRUIT TO SHOW (SUMMER)

Psalm 37:7 says, “Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for Him to act.”

THE SEASON OF NEW BIRTH AND CHANGE (SPRING)

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.”

THE SEASON OF SUFFERING (WINTER)

1Peter 5:10 says, “And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”

THE SEASON OF PLENTY (FALL HARVEST)

2Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.”

GOD IS WITH US THROUGH

EVERY SEASON OF OUR LIVES...

God has a plan and a purpose to make your life beautiful. God has us in a process. We can’t see the scope of God’s work from beginning to end but the finished work will be a testimony for all eternity to His faithfulness.

AMEN
